I
had some naan bread left over from my last recipe, so I decided to make three
different types of pizza. Naan bread is great to use as a pizza crust, because
they are the perfect size for individual pizzas.
Pizza
is an easy meal to make, but I am including this recipe to give you ideas of
different toppings you can put on your pizzas. The possibilities are endless!
Ingredients: Cost:

Naan bread $3 for
bag of 6

1 can of tomato sauce $1.50

Olive oil

Toppings (optional)
o
1 medium onion $0.50
o
4-6 mushrooms $1
o
1 Red pepper $1.50
o
Garlic $0.50
o
1 tomato $1
o
Spinach
o
1 pear $1
o
Sliced cooked almonds

Cheese (cheddar and/or mozzarella) $5
- Spices (optional)
o
Salt and Pepper
o
Basil
o
Paprika
3. Cover naan with toppings and bake |
1. Red pepper and pear with sliced almonds and mozzarella
What to do:
1.
Preheat oven to 300°C
2.
Cut the skin off the pear, cut into
pieces and boil until soft
4.
Cover naan bread with pizza sauce
5.
Put pear and red pepper on next
6.
Add cheese and place sliced almonds
on top
7.
Cook for about 30 minutes, or until
edges of naan are brown and cheese is melted
2. Mushroom, garlic and onion with cheddar and mozzarella
What to do:
1.
Preheat oven to 300°C
3.
Cut mushroom and onion into small
pieces
4.
Cut or grate garlic into small pieces
5.
In a frying pan on medium heat add
oil
6.
Add mushroom, onion and garlic and
cook until brown
7.
Mix pizza sauce with spices and pour onto naan bread
8.
Put cooked mix on pizza and add
cheese
9.
Cook for about 30 minutes, or until
edges of naan are brown and cheese is melted
3. Onion and red pepper with tomato, spinach and cheddar
What to do:

Grate cheddar cheese
3.
Cut onion, red pepper and tomato
into small pieces
4.
In a frying pan on medium heat add
oil, onion and red pepper
5.
Cook until onion and red pepper are
brown
6. Mix pizza sauce with spices and pour onto naan bread
7.
Put cooked red pepper and onion on
next
8.
Add cheese and place tomatoes on top
9.
Cook for about 30 minutes, or until
edges of naan are brown and cheese is melted
